Rodents

Rodents are a diverse group of mammals that make up approximately 40% of all mammal species. They are characterized by their continuously growing incisors that they use for gnawing and feeding.

Examples of Rodents

mouse

Mice

Mice are small, typically gray or brown rodents with pointed snouts, small ears, and long tails. They are found all over the world and are often considered pests in human dwellings.

squirrel

Squirrels

Squirrels frequently seek shelter in attics, eaves, soffits, and wall voids of homes and buildings. To create nests or expand their living space, they gnaw through various building materials, including wood, siding, shingles, insulation, and even metal. They are also known to chew on vents and plumbing stacks. Their nesting materials can include insulation, cardboard, and fabric, leading to mess and damage.

mole

Moles

Moles are considered pests due to the significant damage they cause to lawns and gardens. They are subterranean mammals that constantly tunnel underground in search of insects to eat, such as earthworms and grubs. This activity creates unsightly, raised ridges and mounds of dirt on a property, which can disfigure a lawn, damage the roots of grass, and create havoc in flower beds. Moles are active year-round and do not hibernate, making them a persistent problem. Their tunneling can also cause damage to underground infrastructure.
